Hello Random Bloke. Bit of a random question tbh. Internal, external, hollow panel, fire rated, mortice lock, rim lock, no lock, letter box, two or three hinges, top of tower block, basement, off street parking are just some of the things that spring to mind.......
Even if new door is ‘correct size’, it doesn’t mean it will fit perfectly first time Doors are funny beasts and usually take some degree of wrestling
Re “Internal, external, hollow panel, fire rated, mortice lock, rim lock, no lock, letter box, two or three hinges, top of tower block, basement, off street parking are just some of the things that spring to mind” Its internal, Premdor Panel Textured Internal Door, presumably hollow. Not fire rated. Bathroom door, so just normal handle and turn lock. Three hinges. Second floor of a semi. Parking outside for van should be ok. Re “Even if new door is ‘correct size’, it doesn’t mean it will fit perfectly first time” yes I know, my dad was a carpenter/joiner so I spent my childhood listening to him tell me all about it, and watching him do it, but never had a go myself. Sadly he is dead and life moves on.
they are never a perfect fit out of the box are they... come on sensible view on price, and any ideas on who is trustworthy to do it?
