Howdens seem to give you an inflated price which you have to knock down all the time and can be quite tiresome. But if you take a magnet quote which is 2k cheaper(same product)Howdens will match that price!!! why dont they just give you that price in the first place. I have lost faith in them because of this. Magnet give you the best price they can and that builds trust.
Howdens are losing a lot of custom thanks to their greed. I used to visit their branches all over the Midlands and even basic ironmongery prices differed from branch to branch. Haggle is the key
I dont fancy your chances if thay knocked off 70% to start with... maybe another 5%. What range is it? I worked for them for years until recently, might be able to give you an idea?
