    Evening all,

I need help identifying screw sizes. I have 2 screws I need to confirm.

I'm assuming this is a M1.6 x 7mm screw, but would appreciate confirmation of this.

The next one is what's baffling me...

It appears to be also 1.6mm wide, but has a different thread pitch, and is countersunk. Both screws have a phillips head.

I thought a M1.6 screw has a standard thread pitch? This is much less fine than the first one. Basically... I just need to know what to order, or ask for. Any help you can give me would be fab.
    Thanks, David

Id say the first one is m2, as you need to consider the extremes of the pitch diameter. Can you measure with a proper measuring implement vernier caliper or micrometer?

the second one looks more like a self tapping screw? So not necessarily a metric thread per se.

Last picture looks like an upvc door screw that are odd sizes

Thanks all. I measured with a micrometer, and I got 1.7mm... so according to the above table, that would be a M2 screw then?

Still baffled by the second one... no idea what to replace that with.
