We all know they can be a pain. I got asked for a price to change the bottom element on a big economy 7 cylinder. My price was too high so I did not get the job......I did however get asked back to give my professional opinion on the handiwork of the cheapo polski who got the job......putting a huge lever on an immersion spanner is never a good idea - ask the people who live in the flat below! Still! It made me even more determined NOT to lower my prices.
to true I don't blame you I am the same my price is THE price (i feel its cheap enough anyway) and will not bargain with customers on price point. bet you had a good chuckle on this one though I know I would have done ! whenever we do immersions we make it clear that if cylinder splits because of corrosion/weakness on removing/re-fitting its down to them for cost of replacement and of course occasionly it does happen !
Immersions, Samiflo's AND changing 40 year bath mixers on cast iron baths with seized brass nuts and the taps against the wall. Guess what I was doing today.

Smile local I would imagine the same company as touch local complete rip off. That took money from me unauthorized cancelled the apparent contract! Don't touch them with a gordon Brown in my opinion. Still going strong despite some problems. Yeeha
