I have an old MDPE watter pipe that is approximately 22mm in OD, with a NB of approximately 17mm. I nned to repair a leak, any ideas where I could get a straight connector from to fit.
Philmac Universal Transition Couplings or 3G Metric/Imperial probably bettern opition. http://www.philmac.co.uk/products/universal-transition-couplings/ http://www.philmac.co.uk/products/3g-metricimperial/ There is another fitting & the name eludes me.
Leak is outside, the pipe was unfortunately less than 50 mm deep, and received a garden folk through it.
The philmac UTC -21-27mm looks perfect. Jitender and KIAB, many thanks for the advice and help, massively appreciated. Ben
Did think about Plasson Jit, but don't think they do a multifit connector, but I could be wrong. Might have been confusing names, Philmac UTC, use to be known as a universial coupler years ago. 3G Metric/Imperial joiner is the better option. http://www.philmac.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/3G_Met_Imp_Tech_Manual_V2_email_version.pdf
I've had a look in the product manual, there is a product called ' Black2black' 7404 couple. May have to email them. But the philmac would work. 21-27mm - 21-27mm UTC I changed the stop tap here, and used the old copper insert, so will need them unless it is heavy gauge.
Contacted Philmac, they said to use the 3G connection Joiner Pol x Pol - 9122 A UTC 1144 would work, but is more expensive. No insert was is required for both fittings. It classed as 1/2" imperial.
Perfect choice Jit, & only about £3 for a G connection Joiner Pol x Pol - 9122. http://www.philmac.co.uk/technical-advice/video-player/?video=upp-how
