    Hi
I am hoping to install an integrated oven & hob in the space where a freestanding cooker was. My question is: Can I fit the hob to the oven base unit without a section of worktop?(I am aware that this is not ideal, and may look bad, but is it possible?)

    Thanks

If the kitchen was designed for a cooker why do you want to put a integrated in?

It might be possible to bodge it in but it will look awful and probably be unsafe too.

Thanks for reply. I thought it would be a problem! I have a brand new integrated cooker that was given to me so I was just hoping to use it to replace my old cooker. I guess I will have to replace the whole worktop along that wall

You could always think of another way though.

Why not put the cabinet in that the integrated oven will sit in then fit the oven.

The hob will need to sit into some form of worktop.

Why not see if you can source an offcut of oak top and rebate the edges of it so it sits in neatly and mount the hob in that.

Done right it could look quite good.

Not ideal but might get you through to when you replace your kitchen?
