I know its a long shot but has anyone ever installed or messed about with one of these?

I've got to move this from upstairs to downstairs on Thursday and I've never messed with one before.

Its basically a nurse call system. The two steel boxes are power supplies with other bits inside them, the black triangle thing is a transmitter or receiver, not sure what the keypad is for.

We have to remove all the call points from upstairs as well, each one has an address, does it matter if some points are just removed, do all the addresses have to follow on in numerical order? There are not many cables coming out of it but they disappear under the floor and as yet I haven't got a clue where they go, one is a piece of 2 core .75 flex that is connected to a pair of terminals marked "output" and all the call points justg have a + and - rail connected to them.
