IP68

Discussion in 'Electricians' Talk' started by "Professional" DIYer, Apr 23, 2005.

  1. I was just reading about drainage holes in outdoor waterproof enclosures. I was wondering with JB outdoors in positions where a drainage hole could allow water in (junction boxes close to the ground and near sprinkler systems.

In this case is there any way to help avoid the build up of condensation?

    Thanks.

If you have IP68 rated box you should not have drainage holes ?

But if you don't have them, get them, or IP64

DIY unprofessional advice, by the way, just in case someone comes along and asks if I am an electrician. ;)

    Handyandy - really

  3. Yeh your right they don't, was just wondering if anyone has any tips.
