Is it trade only who can click and collect at the minute?
No anyone can click and collect not just trade.
They will not walk away from money! any sale to trade or retail customer is better than no sale!
Can’t understand why there’s so much confusion at the moment about who, what and where is open and how you go about securing goods
Certainly is difficult times at present for many and bad news follows bad news but,,,,,,,
All the ‘hardware’ type businesses that are open due to being deemed ‘Essential Suppliers’ have clear and concise information on their websites explaining if they are open and if so, what the procedure is for purchasing goods
Regular updates are made when the system is adapted in some way
All the info is out there and simply accessible with a few clicks on a phone/keyboard
Agree, some confusion about exactly what products are available as all suppliers have limited their available range to ‘Essential Items’ only
The definition of this word ‘Essential’ is proving difficult to pin down however
Fair play to any business that is open, be it limited hours and products, but they are having to make sweeping changes to their operating procedures to comply with ever changing government guidelines
Yes, Screwfix is open to trade and public alike
Check your local branch however. There were several closed last week due to staffing shortages
Screwfix was categorised as an essential retailer by the Government. Screwfix adapted its proposition to offer Click & Collect on essential products only and Home Delivery on products to support you at home. This is to ensure the safety of our customers and colleagues, whilst supporting you with the products you need through these unprecedented times. Unless it is essential, we are asking you to stay at home and use our home delivery service.
Whilst we continue to offer a Home Delivery service, this may be subject to delays and our product range may be limited during the coming weeks. Please note Screwfix is currently ringfencing personal protective equipment (PPE) to donate to frontline NHS staff. We have currently withdrawn from sale selected PPE products until further notice to ensure we can distribute this to where it is most in need.
In line with Government advice, we are now providing a service that minimises social contact and we can assure you that we will do all that we can to protect our colleagues, customers and their families.
Thank you for your patience.

There was a member on here which caused me the confusion saying their branch was trade only and they was checking
Thanks for confirmation and info!
No worries mate - wasn’t having a pop at you, just trying to add some info
Like a lot of people at the moment I’m working from home but, have a lot more spare time all of a sudden so trying to crack on with jobs around the house
Golden opportunity time wise and with no distractions such as going out socially, also best to keep busy (for me anyway for sure)
So been reading up on who's open and the specifics regarding purchasing so I can organise materials
Hope you get what you need as full product ranges have been trimmed !
