Is this a bodge?

    Had a new front door and frame fitted. It looks to me as the frame was about 20mm short and been bodged with a packer that's a different colour. It looks odd on the white interior as well. The door mechanism has been moved down as well. Is this standard practice?

    A bit of a hash up,as for moving lock, NO.

    So it's acceptable to have an obvious cut out in the frame that shouldn't have been there in the first place as seen in picture 2?

    Looks like the striker plate has slipped down - i’d Expect it to be central on the lock and it looks low. As to the spacers: not sure. They “might” be needed to adapt the Ali threshold profile onto the frame. Black might be closest they have to anthracite which is outside colour

    So it may be

    A) a quick adjust on the striker plate and

    B) failure of the salesman to explain about the black blocks
