I’ve just got home from a long weekend away (during the storm) to find the plaster work and insulation above our living room window has caved in. The curtains have been closed whilst we were away and we have kept them closed so not to disrupt the material.

    Does it look like asbestos?

Our house is Victorian but had some arrangements done to it around 1970 so the insulation above the window may not be the original.

We’re not builders and have no experience of asbestos so any advice would be appreciated. Wondering whether I need to get a specialist out ASAP.

    Thanks in advance.

Looks like blown in cavity wall insulation. Nothing to worry about.
