mold.jpg I've recently had an extension built, its fully completed just waiting on Skirting boards

Today noticed yellow fluffy stuff on wall low down near where skirting will go, is this mould ? if so what has caused it and how do I get rid of it (it reminds me of candyfloss)

The room currently doesn't have any heating in it (waiting for a gas fire to be installed) so it is very cold in there Thanks

Looks like flora (mould growth) as it has turned yellow in the middle, all white would suggest salt effervescence only. You have a damp patch.

For sure, the furry cotton wool nature confirms mould.
