It isn't a guidence note. It is not titled as one. It is titled as an approved document, it comes from the government themselves.

Just cos you read it and got proved wrong, you are now trying to pass an approved document off as a guidence note. Twit.

Its an approved doc by the secretary of the state,
the government, they make the laws.

Governments do no such thing. Parliament makes laws.

A Secretary of State is as liable as anyone else, to appear in the dock.

    Have a read of http://www.iee.org/Publish/WireRegs/PartP.cfm

    particulary the FAQ's that say

In May 2003 the Government announced that it would introduce a new Part to the Building Regulations, Part P, which would bring domestic electrical installation work in England and Wales under the legal framework of the Building Regulations. It will, for the first time, place a legal requirement for safety upon electrical installation work in dwellings, although the sector is highly regarded for its high levels of conformity with its chief standard, BS 7671.

getting back to what ant said, does brewmans airing cupboard come under a "restrictive conductive location". i spose alot depands on how big the cupboard is. if you have immersion cables, etc. then you can see the problems.

Who's heard of part 2 Section 8 amendment (a) of the consumer protection act 1992 ?

But a shopper uses it nearly every day they shop.

Do you know and have read every law that you are supposed to live by. I don't think so.

App doc is a guide. Like an information leaflet.

Not to be recognised as the LAW.

    Mr. HandyAndy - really
