ODB - Having trawled through this saga I find that at long last I have to make a comment on your last post on this thread ............. Do you really think any sound / good businessman will display his rates/prices on an open forum , it is not only bad business sense but also bad for a business , you're very unlikely to get anyone on here who will do such a thing :)

I have always found a good businessman is extremely open about their prices, shows your open and not trying to rip people off. I fail to see why its bad business sense OR bad for business?


If anything this is BETTER for your business! A clear price structure is the best thing to make a happy customer and they know exasctly what the charges relate too. You go to a job and say £100 it doesnt mean anything, doesnt explain/reassure a customer, just makes them question what your charging them for. This applies to all types of business not just plumbing. An unclear price structure to me shows the sign of a cowboy
 
little for the elderly and infirm.
