Yes fully agree chips, read my posts (if you have a spare half hr or can’t sleep) ;)

Trouble is to justify the procedure, the cops have to have reasonable cause or susupicion to make the stop and have to be able to back up their decision in a clear cut way - not always possible

Birmingham has recently increased their stop and search numbers and also temporarily done away with the need for the reasonable cause or suspicion to be made

This follows an increase in knife crime in Brum

These measures are no good however being a knee jerk reaction and put in place for a two week period - needs to be ongoing for the forceable future

Like we always read after an event ‘increased police presence in the area’ ......... too little too late though innit when another 18 year old has been stabbed to death

Nobody is mentioning the 20 000 police that the Tories got rid of.

Since bliars illegal wars in muslim countries billions of pounds have had to be diverted and invested in counter terrorism measures thus draining funds from local police forces.

Instead of trying to change the world bliar and new labour would have better spent their time focusing on matters closer to home.

Tony Blair hasn't been Prime Minister for 12 years, isn't it about time the Tories started taking responsibility for their own mistakes.

The legacy of bliar and the rest of his shower will be with us for a very long time to come.
In government you have to make tough decisions, sadly many of those decisions are borne out of previous governments incompetence.

You voted for bliar. And its bliars creation.
Now you got the terrorism storm that our security forces have to deal with. Now and well into the future.

And the costs that go with it.
So stop moaning when cuts are made in other areas.

You've had 12 years of Tory incompetance, don't blame it on Labour.

Labour and your beloved bliar started the illegal wars in the middle east.
You voted for them. You reap what you sow.

Blaming everyone else for your problems is a very childish way of living.

Just remembered that Tony Blair was a convert to Roman Catholicism, how does that reflect on your beliefs?

Good points GM and if we brought back common sense, banned political correctness, stopped being so soft hearted with the bad people in society, reinforced the value of traditional families and made punishments fit the crimes, we'd have a more peaceful existence. All the present social experimenting isn't working and it's ruining the lives of sensible law abiding citizens.

As long as Tony preys to god it's out of his hands
Heard a report on the radio the other day that previous behavior will not be tolerated. , but no mention of turning the accused phedos over to the police , once again this above the law attitude perpetuation and an example of GM's " good people tolerating it"

Make posession of a bladed weapon (with sensible tests to determine if it was for a legitimate purpose or not) as severe an offence as posession of a firearm.
In my view, talk of anything else is wasted hot air.
