    Hi Guys,
I need a bit of help if possible please.
I have a slab of laminate that may be big enough to cut a L shape out for a kitchen worktop. Would that be ok or do I need to have it in two pieces and have a joint!?

thanks for any and all advice!

Internal or external corner on the "L"? If internal, how will you finish the edges? External, should be fine.

Is it solid wood or laminate?
If it's laminate - will it leave a cut edge exposed?

thanks for the reply! I uploaded a photo as I’m not sure about internal/external. The edges I’ll edge band it and I’m thinking of doing a epoxy resin coat over the top

That is an internal corner, to be honest, "edge banding" will look pretty awful unless done with the right cutters and that assumes you can get a decent straight clean cut.

What size is the "slab of laminate" ?

    Laminate is Laminate
MFC is melamine faced chipboard, usually 15 or 18mm and used predominantly to make kitchen cabinets.

Yes, what you want done can be done in one piece, internal or external, if you have the skills and equipment to do it.
