    Hi there,

I'm in the process of laying down decking in the garden. I have completed the sub floor which covers an area of 12ft x 20ft but the decking has been out in the rain for a couple of days. The question is do I still need to leave a 3-4 mm expansion gap now the deck boards are wet.

    Thanks in advance.

I sometimes use a decking screw as a spacer. If you're worried, check some from the bottom of the pile and compare to the really soaked ones. Doubt there'll be much difference so just get on with it ;)
