Leak under bath

Hi,

I have water leaking from the underside of the bath sink plug. Should there be a gasket either to the underside of the silver rimmed piece above bath or on the underside of the bath where it meets the black waste piece.

Not sure if there is a pin sized hole in the fibreglass. What is the best way to fix this. Would done fibreglass repair work or is there a putty?

I suspect the rubber seal has failed . The only way to know is to have it apart clean it up and reassemble

Had trouble working out what a bath sink waste was until the pics! Yes, above and below the fibreglass of the bath.

As above ,there should be a rubber seal below the bath,and above. Above is often sealed with silicone because the thin seals that come with the waste fitting are not a good fit.

I would suggest fitting a new pop up waste and using silicone on the rubber where it fits under the bath:
