I removed a brick TV unit from the living room of my house which has left a channel in the floor where the bricks sat, would you use a normal cement mix to bring it back up to the correct level or self levelling?

How deep is it? Probably use a sand/cement mix unless its really shallow.

I would say at its worse its probably a couple of inches deep. Would you use sand and cement or just cement?

6:1 sand and cement, a mortar mix. Definitely not neat concrete.

Or may be 4:1, its a standard screed mix.

I would Use Wickes Deep Base levelling compound if its just a shallowish channel. Have done this a few times when frames have been taken out and there is a threshold/sill to make good.
