Levelling up to door threshold

Not quite a tiling question, but I’ve got a tiled floor in the hall and am in the process of putting a wood floor in the lounge. With the wood plank in place the lounge floor is 10mm lower that tiled hall floor. I’d like to avoid the drop if possible. I’ve self levelled floors before, so was thinking of going down that route, make up the mix a bit thicker than usual and spread etc. My question is, how far would I need to go out from the Hal/lounge threshold to ‘lose’ the 10mm in to the rest of the lounge without ending up with an obvious slope in the floor? - I was thinking a metre in all directions from threshold. Reckon that would be enough? It’s a concrete floor.

    Cheers in advance.

Just use the 10mm hard insulation for laminate floors
