high what are the recommended hights for light switch and plug sockets, are there any stated in the 17th regs
High? Between 450mm and 1200mm, but as you are rewiring a bungalow and not wiring a new build I would put them where ever you wish.

for the outlet box about 13" above the floor. For light switches, go 42" to the bottom of the switchbox. For counter top receptacles/switches go 46" to the bottom of the box is what i use for new builds ___________________________ UK Electrician - Electrical Maintenance and Repair Services

Never mind metric...!!! What about the building regs. UK Electrician have just stated that they fit sockets at 13", which is somewhere in the region of 325mm.... Well below the building regulations stated heights. Not the best advice to be giving out is it...?
