Lockshield Valve 3/4"?

Discussion in 'Plumbers' Talk' started by ALittleKnowledge, Oct 20, 2021.

  1. I have a leaky lockshield valve at one end of an old radiator so decided to replace it but on removal it doesn't look like the other ones!

Most of my rad right angle lock shields have the same dimensions... 15mm and 15mm

    But this one is special!

Would that be 15mm by 3/4"? Are these obtainable?

Look at Screwfix part no 33920.

  3. I think it's bigger... I'm not 100% sure how to measure this but I think it might be 3/4"?

(The small connection is 'standard' to a 15mm pipe)

The big nut is 3/4” but the tail that goes into the rad is a standard 1/2” and the part that connects to your pipework is 15mm. It is the same as that part number, honest!

Take your old one with you and compare at the counter.
