My DTD146 Makita impact driver is losing power. It's not a brushes or contacts issue because it runs smoothly, it's just a bit sluggish on starting and lacks a bit of power . Anyone know what else is there to go wrong on them?

Grease the hammer as I do mine every few years seems to help keep it run nicely. Easy enough to take apart.
Just replaced motor in mine as was getting sluggish then started to smoke a lot. Bought off ebay and took about 15mins to swap as easy job
