I've just had my new plunge saw and track delivered, but I'm a bit surprised by something.

It's come in a MAC case that connects to other Makita tool boxes, but there's nothing within it to stop the saw from moving about in transit.

The only thing it has is a bit of flimsy black plastic at the bottom (which doesn't seem to accomodate the saw anyway)

Anyone know if this is normal for Makita?

I would say most track saws come much the same in the case. Even my Festool track saw is only held in place by the moulded plastic base. Never been an issue and holds the saw fine in transit.
