Mira Decor Shower fault

Hi, looking for some advise.

I have a Mira Decor electric shower, couple of years old now.

In the winter everything is fine.

When the weather gets better the shower appears to have a fault.

The top dial controls the setting (high, medium, low) and the lower dial the temperature of the water.

With the top dial set to high the water is too hot regardless of how the how I set the lower dial which controls the temperature, even setting it to the lowest setting it is still too hot.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks

Has this problem just arisen ,or has it always been this way ?
If you turn the bottom dial fully anticlockwise ,as far as it will go ,is the temperature still too hot ?

Worked fine for a while but the fault developed, turning the temperature down has no effect, still runs to hot to use.

Also makes a screeching noise when using

The top control sets how many elements are used. “Low” doesn’t heat the incoming water at all, “medium” uses half power and “high” uses full power. The “temperature” control sets the rate at which the water flows through the unit. A low flow rate means the water is in contact with the heating elements for longer, so the water is hotter. You may need to check the filter in the water inlet of the unit, clean the spray head, or there may be an issue with the shower head. The flow rate you want depends on the top control, and the temperature of your incoming cold water supply.

I guess you may also have used a different spray head to the one Mira supplied, which doesn’t allow enough water to flow through it.
