I have a Mira Aquations thermostatic shower mixer, installed about 22 years ago, has always worked brilliantly all this time except it tends to drip if not turned off hard.. ie need to really make sure it is fully off. A sign of age obviously but spares appear to be readily available . Question is.. what do I need? Should I replace the whole unit or just the valves? Are the valves cartridge type and straightforward to change? (Obviously isolate the supply!) Any advice appreciated.
Have you tried this: https://www.showerspares.com/mira_s...aquations_thermostatic_mixer_valve_aquations/ I suspect you just need to change the on/off cartridge.
That's great Harry Thanks. Just looked at the spares site... available and instructions for fitting all there. Will get ahead with it asap. Thanks again.
When you take it apart and inspect, you may find you just need a new o-ring. It’s also possible a generic cartridge may fit - which would be cheaper.
