Cheap paint isn’t worth it, but saying that, you don’t have to pay a fortune for decent gear.
I’d rather put one or two coats of a decent paint on than 4 or 5 of a cheap brand as my time and health and temper are valuable. You have been warned :D

    Guys,
So had some remdial work done with skimming and bonding and hairline cracks filled and repaired.

My question is, the skimmed part. Does it need the ever build 406 stabilising solution on first then a mist coat of paint?. Then paint it after?

Or go straight for a mist coat?

    Thanks

Mist it, fill it, sand it, mist it, paint it.

Selco doing 15l of leyland superlaytex for 19.99 + vat this month. Not my first choice of paint, but for renters...it’s perfect and good covering power.

    Hi

The patch had a bit of skimming done.
Now when doing a mist coat, some slightly come out.

Now it shows like this. How do I repair it to make it normal.

I've removed wall paper of feature wall.
The wall behind it is blue and brown.

I think the brown can be painted over with the magnolia with 2 coats and should hide it. However the blue won't as I've tried it. Will the no nonsense waterbased primer on the blue wall then top coat of magnolia do the job?

Also the top layer of plaster has come of on one side of wall as seen on picture.

Will it need skimming or could I pollyfila it?

Also which is best roller to use on artex wall?

What colour would go nice with magnolia for this feature wall which will cover existing paint?

Hi, can existing skirting board and architraves of magnolia gloss be re painted over with same colour without priming it? Just sand it down slightly then paint over?

Also, the current skirting board has gloss magnolia. Would it just néed a watera based gloss as top coat? or need a solvent based one coat?
