Hello, I have a small wooded hatch in an external wall. I want to put a 5 lever lock in it that is controlled by a thumb turn on the inside only. I don't anything on the outside, not a key hole or a screw turn. What lock would I need to achieve this? Many thanks
It doesn't need to be 5 lever if there's no key. I assume you mean a decent mortice lock? Are good quality slide bolts out of the question?
Could use a rack bolt with a turn screw, would need to trim down spindle, so it doesn't go completely through door. https://www.locksonline.co.uk/Locks...d-Simular-/Banham-R102-Mortice-Door-Bolt.html
Sounds like You want a euro lock case https://www.ironmongerydirect.co.uk...81mm-case-57mm-backset-stainless-steel-255463 and a single euro thumb turn cylinder https://www.ironmongerydirect.co.uk/product/euro-single-thumbturn-35-plus-10mm-satin-chrome-403904
Sounds exactly like what is required. Good shout. Didn't know you could get singles. Learn something new every day and long may it continue.
Thanks all - a Single Euro thumb turn is what I was looking for. After googling, some call it a half euro. Btw- Door thickness is 44mm
"big red key" issue here happening Should armour plate it considering that's one way Pablo Escobar style hide-away ?
