Hi all, What is a cheapish router that will be okay for doing multiple kitchen worktops, I have a jig just need a router. Was thinking about Makita. Please if there Is there any tips that you can pass on to me as I've only ever routed one worktop before?
Hitachi m12ve. There’s absolutely tons of explanations on this forum and the kitchen fitters forum, plus a decent video on youtube titled Tommy’s Trade Tips or something.
After getting through a couple of trend routers I bought this one as a throw away tool and it's been faultless for a few years now. https://www.screwfix.com/p/erbauer-er2100-2100w-electric-router-220-240v/535fx
For the money, these are good value. based on the old Elu routers. Was only £250 on black Friday. Mine is still going strong after nearly 20 years of abuse. https://www.axminster.co.uk/dewalt-dew625ekt-router-tstak-case-ax967913 sorry screwfix, should have mentioned that you sell it as well, oops https://www.screwfix.com/p/dewalt-dw625ek-gb-2000w-electric-router-240v/81683
