Discussion in 'Electricians' Talk' started by kitchenfitter1, Feb 21, 2009.

  1. Hello, going to look at a job today and the customer is having a 3.7kw pyrolytic oven, and a 7.2 kw induction hob. I will be getting my spark to do the electrics, but hes on hols, so just wondering what power supply i will be looking at, so i can give an educated (by screwfix forum!) opinion and price. Cheers for any help.

16-20 amp radial for the oven and a 32 amps for the hob should cover things

  3. Cheers. I am assuming 2.5 t+e for radial, and 6mm for 32amp?

Yes assuming length and installation methods fall in the guild lines of bs7678;)

I'm sure if you worked out the diversity etc etc you could use a 6mm going into a dual box supplying both appliances if wiring is an issue;)

  6. That sounds a good option! I will have to get my sparks brain going on that when he gets back. Thanks for the advice.
