I’ve seen job adverts posting £180-200 a day for bricklayers on new builds. Is this about right? (I’m in east Anglia) and what amount experience would this be for? (In years) Cheers

For the area its not bad.

As for experience, New build is more about how many bricks can you lay in a day rather than total bricklaying skills.

Yes you need to be good but not brilliant.

    Hi
If you can do it, do it!,
being tidy and good work first,
    speed, second.
Go for it if you’re happy with the money, (and they pay up)

    Regards
    Peter

More than likely even more again, bricklaying prices are currently through the roof due to supply and demand.

One housing developer down here is 7 months behind their schedule due to labour shortages.

Do you think housing developers want to see qualifications? Like a level 2/3 bricklaying? Or would references and experience be sufficient?
