Good afternoon all, I have just priced some work and got into a conversation with the owner and we did not come to an answer. She has bought a brand spanking new property from a large home builder that rhymes with Parrots. The property has a brick skin but has a completely timber construction. My question, Is this a "non standard" construction or standard? As I know there is a lot of properties being constructed this way and would be surprised if all these buyers were getting specialised mortgages for them. thanks for the time!! kisses
Found this online just now, however it isn't dated but seems relevant: https://www.foxdavidson.co.uk/mortgages-for-timber-framed-houses/
Think it's standard nowadays providing traditional it's a timber frame and not SIPS Would have to check with insurer/mortgage lender on their specific policy
