We recently purchased a two bed flat, it's the third storey in a block. Did a system conversion to a combi. Pressure held perfectly for about six weeks before gradually losing pressure. We finally changed all the radiators, and despite some air lingering in the system, pressure held. With mindset,.we should have just changed all the pipework at the same time... Hindsight is great.
Suddenly last night, pressure dropped from 1.6 to 0. We topped up the pressure and it only held for one hour or so.
It seems likely it's a pipe leak... We have LVT on top of a line subfloor and then concrete in-between the flats. The pipework is above the concrete. However, we previously had leak detection out and they were basically useless, their thermal cameras couldn't see anything, and with LVT the gas wouldn't come up in the right place. Any ideas what steps we should go through?
For now, we are getting Vaillant out under the warranty to check the PRV etc. but then is it best to go for a plumber or leak detection companies? Any other ideas we could look for?
