No idea. Must be some there I guess, just as there must be extremists of other groups, like the Australian gunman.

Does it matter if you are part of a group, whether that group has a small or large amount or any extremists at all?
It won’t make you any less of a target if some other group decides you are an enemy or just simply expendable.

Looks like all sides are at risk and this time it was those poor people.
But the fact that Muslims and not other groups are being attacked proves other groups, religions, are not thought of as a threat by the killers
Why do you think that Muslims are looked upon as a threat?

Good question to start a new thread actually!
I suppose some Muslims look upon us also as a threat.
Not to try and fudge the answer, I will call it as it is, - the evidence of hostility or violence by a small number of people. No respect to life, including their own, again by a minority.

Given that the gunman killed 49 Muslims we are a threat.

Anders Breivik hated Islam and Muslims by all accounts yet thought the best way to make a statement was to massacre 77 unarmed innocent civilians, 69 of whom were youth workers and kids, with as far as I'm aware no connection to the religion. Even dressed as a police officer to trick his way into the camp.

James Holmes shot and killed 12 people and wounded 59 (the youngest being three months old) at a Batman film premiere in a cinema, dressed as a deranged Joker from Batman. No religious agenda, a true psychopath.

Similarly, 49 unarmed men, women and children praying and worshipping in two mosques are not exactly the Dirlewanger Brigade to Brenton Tarrant are they? Where's the threat?

Of course I was having a dig at you, it’s obviously a tragedy and disgusting event that nobody would condone, but you’ve been itching to somehow affiliate members on here with that ideology, pathetic
Yep, he said yesterday that the police should be keeping an eye on me because I criticised, Corby, and in doing so according to his 'logic' must also condone the mindless slaughter of innocents.
I'm all for reasoned debate, but when faced with individuals who so often unashamedly deploy 'character assassination' in an ignorant attempt to dismiss facts or get a reaction...? Well, we all know what they are, and the guidelines of the forum stress that it's best not to feed em.

And here comes Trevor the troll with his gaslighting double talk.

Does sound as if you are accepting resilient to the "western" civilization group as legitimate "us"

Jord, don’t normally hear from you In this sort of post and it’s clear you took the time to write that message but what you trying to say? Unless I’ve not got the message?

Yes, some of us also are a threat.
But you can see the point I made, - if reasons to fear or hate another community manifest, it is inevitable that the craziest people on either side will commit atrocities.
Today it is the Muslim community, tomorrow it could be us

But who stirs up fears about Muslims?

Heat stated that Muslims are targeted by the right wing extremists and terrorists, not any other group or religion, just Muslims are seen as a threat. I can't understand how unarmed people in prayer whether black or white are viewed as any sort of danger. My personal opinion is that it's nothing to do with a Muslim threat and everything to do with Psychopaths, white supremecists, and relaxed firearm laws.

I agree with you on most of that, except there will also be a hatred of Muslims with that gunman.
He didn’t attack Jews, for example.
Although wouldn’t surprise me if he was capable of killing any other group.
