To be fair, it's nothing new is it. It's just the way politics is done.
In the run up to an election you spout anything that your advisers think will win votes, then after the election you can ignore pretty much everything you said.
This was a little cleverer than that.
Identified the new buzzword, turned it round and used it against the very people that wanted it.
And how many fell for it? And still are? I use fillyboy as a good example, amongst the other usual suspects
