No DPM in existing garage. Can I convert to outhouse?

Hi all,

I live in a 1930s and have a stand alone garage. I'm pretty sure there is no DPC installed in the walls. I've been thinking about converting it into a garden room / office. I would be able to install a membrane on the floor to prevent damp from rising through the floor.

What options do I have for the walls? I was thinking batten the walls then install a dpm over the insulation/battens then board over using moisture plasterboard.

Can you explain the wall construction. Ie solid , cavity, brick, stone etc. Maybe post up a few pictures internal and external
