    OK -
Having followed all the threads on laminate floors - I'm deciding not to go for one in my kitchen.
Instead thought of putting down MDF on the concrete and lino over top.
What thickness of MDF should I use - I intend putting laminate down in the hallway and would prefer the kitchen and hall to be on the same level as far as possible!

Any better solutions for under the lino?

    Cheers,

    TAngo.

    I'm only diy, but...
I wouldn't use MDF... Too likely to absorb any moisture and eventually crumble.
    I'd use plywood.

    But wait for the expert!
