Hi, I've just put up a Cabin in my garden, the left side and back walls cannot be seen I've left 12inch gap for me to get to them, but ideally want to protect and forget as it's not visible I'm not worried about what it looks like, Just want the best longest lasting protection I can get.

Any advice on what I could use, please ??

Is the cabin made from treated timber?

No not treated, I have treated with ballentine wood Protection

Will the Ballentine treatment not be sufficient as that soaks well into the wood offering protection. An inexpensive but very good finish would be Cuprinol Ducks Back, put this product on my new shed 3 years ago and still looks excellent, good choice of colours and easy to apply. First thing to check though would be does the preservative allow a water base paint over it, probably does but best to check as would say on the Balentine container.

I have cupinol for the front, so will just paint it all round. Thanks.

Ducks Back is wax enriched so repels water very well.
