Hi, painting kitchen and all our bathrooms, had a question re what paint to use?

There is obviously dulux easycare kitchen and dulux easycare bathroom. These would work out quite expensive to do two coats.

BnQ goodhome have specific paints for each too which work out a tad cheaper.

I have also seen leyland trade hardwearing Matt which on the tin says for kitchen and bathroom.

the other option I have seen is the dulux easycare washable and tough.

would the leyland be suitable or should I look at specific paint, I.e the dulux or the goodhome?

    thanks

For Kitchen and bathrooms I only use Dulux Trade Diamond Eggshell.

Thanks for the suggestion! How many coats would you estimate of the diamond eggshell to cover magnolia? We are just going for a white finish.

Two, just noticed that you find Dulux retail paints expensive....on that basis you will need a mortgage for Dulux Trade paint as it's is at least twice the price.
Just use the Dulux retail bathroom paint or kitchen paint as they are formulated for areas of higher humidity.

I think it’s because I can only find in small tins so the price soon stacks up. More than happy to pay for a paint that will do the job well and for a long time! I do prefer a Matt finish, so looking at the diamond range how does diamond Matt fair? (It would actually work out marginally cheaper than the dulux kitchen/bathroom retail range too)

I get on with it fine, have also use a fair few 5lt Brewers Albany Durable Matt over the last couple or so years with good results.

That’s reassuring, I have seen looked at some reviews saying it’s hard to get a good finish! I’ll have a look at the Albany. Thanks!
