Part Name for adapting 3/4 BSPP with O-ring to compression

I bought a manifold for water distribution in the bathroom (JGMAN4) https://www.johnguest.com/gb/en/products/jg-speedfit/fittings/push-fit-plumbing-manifolds/manifold . The inlet is on the wrong side for what I intend in order to keep pipes as neat as possible. So I thought I will just get an adapter and put female plug on the other side.

I bought a 3/4 blanking cap with a seal in the bottom, and a 3/4male to 15mm compression thinking the o-ring would work OK against the flange bit on the fitting.

Blanking cap is fine as it seals at the bottom of the female. But the other side - the o-ring just doesn't work. It needs a groove to sit in. But can i find even one 3/4 fitting with a grove? All the info I find is related to hydraulics and one solution seems to be a Dawty seal but surely there has to be an appropriate fitting that works with the o-ring? I know I could stuff it full of Loctite55 or PTFE but that just seems nasty. I can't believe we still do that with radiators. I have it installed facing the wrong way at the moment using a 3/4 flexihose for the inlet and it works fine but it would be nice to have the tap heads facing outward.

So I have searched for all the synonyms I can think of related to groves, seats, seating, chamfers, SAE, ORB and I just don't seem to be getting anywhere. What is the magic word?

Thanks
