Partitioning garage into two areas...

I'm wanting to create an insulated hobby space in my garage by effectively splitting it in two, adding insulated stud walls and some additional power sockets.

The garage has the front entrance and side entrance. It's already got a layer of polystyrene/insulation that's been fitted to the roof and connecting walls, since new build, so I'd assume only the external breeze block wall would need insulation as a result. There are no windows.

My question is around regs, insurance etc.

If I raise the floor in the hobby room, and add a door between that and the front storage area which will still have the full roller garage door, do I need to be concerned about anything, both insurance wise and regulations wise?

I'm tempted to get somebody to knock through a doorway under the stairs to the garage, but again, not sure about the regulations involved with that at the moment.
