I have a petrol driven spray unit.4 stroke engine manufactured by Wisconsin Robin.Single cylinder ,pull cord start. It is a pure sod to start, especially when hot,it seems to flood and takes forever to get it going. The spark is good ,timing seems OK.Any ideas???

It sounds as though it's a carburation problem (too rich/overchoking). If it is also flooding, I would check the float/needle valve in the carb. It may be worth checking the air filter as well, as it could be choked with overspray (causing rich mixture).
