    Hi all,

When I bought this property there was some MDF covering that opening. There was leak several years ago apparently.

I’ve taken the master bedroom ceiling down as it was bowing so I know the dust and mess it causes (lath & plaster). As the rest of the ceiling is fine, I was planning to just plasterboard over the top with a vapour plasterboard (kitchen).

    Seem okay to you guys?

Yes you could board over but looking at that room all empty why not pull it down. Sort out wiring and plumbing with clips ect. Fit new board. Do a decent job

I have most of the floorboards ready to be taken up, upstairs. Seeing the mess from a slightly smaller room, I don’t fancy having it again. Happy to wire from above
