Hey, just hoping for any advice, can I overboarded a wooden tongue and groove ceiling? Want rid of it and massive brass fish eye lights. Feels pretty solid, pulled out lamp and nothing behind it just joists. Would I be better pulling it down? Or can I go over it with 12mm? Thanks!

Yes, it's a perfect substrate on which to fix plasterboard. Use screws not nails.
