Plasterboard walls

Hi All,

I have built a stud wall and plaster boarded it, I’m going to tape the joints and plaster them and am looking to paint on to the plasterboard directly without skimming the whole wall.
What I would like advice on, is what to do with the edges around a small window if am not plastering the whole wall.
Do I still use beading and just edge with some plaster or just tape and a bit of plaster?

All advice is greatly received.

Many thanks.

I have done a bit of taping and jointing.
PB not as resilient to knocks as skimmed PB. Most of mine is not in prominent places. Including a foot shaped hole in the ceiling (DIY plumbing at 1am)
Square plasterboard, you will be creating a very wide slight hump that will be near invisible to the eye.

Paper tape takes a bit of practice but easy enough to take off and redo if too bubbly. Vancouver Carpenter on youtube.
Fibafuse tape is another option. B&Q
Got my corner tape from Toolstation.
Easifill 20 or 60 powder.

Stainless Ox 6" and 10" knives and 'mud pan' for about £30
