Your story 'factual customer' is less than credible, for a start you know too much terminology, it's your first post and your English is too good. I put it to you, that you yourself are a CCC and have dreamed up this feeble story!!! Crawl back into your hole, we can see through you. You're pathetic!!!
If he's Polish, I'm a rice cake!!! His English is better than most of the English ***** on here. So, like his fellow countrymen, if he was Polish he'd be chancing his arm as a University Lecturer!!! [Edited by: admin23]
I wish it was a feeble story that I had dreamed up - then I wouldn't have had to pay for the same job twice. But at least it was done properly in the end.
OK, if you were ripped off, why did you not do as recommended by all Consumer TV programmes. Get a recommendation from friends, family etc Also how do you know he was a time served Plumber, did he have his C&G certficate in his back pocket?? Personally, I think you had two CC's in your house and a * paying them!! [Edited by: forum admin]
He's not just thanking everyone, just me!!! Look he may be Polish, but be knows genius when he sees it.
Good point about recommendations - the only guy who has been recommended to me isn't a TS plumber - he's a 'handyman' (not even a CC, CCC or CCCC!) who has done loads of great work fitting bathrooms and kitchens etc for my friends. Unfortunately he is booked till September. So I chose someone from the Yellow Pages who claimed to be a TS plumber with 25+ years experience. You are correct though - he could have been lying. And again you are right - I am a *** for expecting this guy to work to a reasonable standard without standing over him. I think that one of the things plumbers learn throughout their apprecticeships is when to get off the mark when a job goes pear shaped and refuse to come back to it - experience tells them that it is going to be difficult to do the job properly, so they just don't bother.
You are correct though - he could have been lying. Ahh!! His lips moved did they ???????? Hey Dick. See you've now acquired a spiritual mentor,(hope he's time served); play your cards right here and you could be opening up a branch in Kracow soon. Can't fail with God on your side. Personally I think he might need the help of an Exorcist in your case.

I hate to say it, but, jack of all trades etc..... If that's the best in your area, well you are all easily pleased and yes, his work may be OK, but by who's yardstick??? Unfortunately he is booked till September. So I chose someone from the Yellow Pages who claimed to be a TS plumber with 25+ years experience. Yellow Pages.....lol!!!.......anyone that pays their money can advertise in YP, do you think they check what an advertiser says, give me a break Yellow Pages!!! Look, a good Plumbing firm will belong to trade associations and have a land-line phone number and the last place on earth they'll advertise is Yellow Pages ***!! You are correct though - he could have been lying. And again you are right - I am a *** for expecting this guy to work to a reasonable standard without standing over him. You should not stand over him, but be specific in what you want. I'm not defending anyone, but 9 out of 10 problems are down to lack of understanding by one if not all the parties. I'll only deal with one person, that can be the bloke or his missus and if we understand each other well...... I think that one of the things plumbers learn throughout their apprecticeships is when to get off the mark when a job goes pear shaped and refuse to come back to it - experience tells them that it is going to be difficult to do the job properly, so they just don't bother. No, quite wrong. If you are looking for someone to blame, check the mirror mate. When I take my Merc to the garage, I hand them a type written list, and if they don't do what's on the list, I'll not pay them until they complete all items on the list!!
Personally I think he might need the help of an Exorcist in your case..........How true, my son, how true!!!

So,you've changed from a beamer to a Merc now have you ?? You disappoint me Mercs are ** these days you would be as well driving a Ford and saving the rest. Test drove a Merc few months back and nearly fell asleep it was so boring. Old mans car. [Edited by: admin5]
oh by the way *, sorry dick, *. people like you make me sick. you only come on here to give people the hump. i know that for the rest of my working life i will be a plumber, i will get better and better at it and ill enjoy every minute of it and theres not a thing you can do about is there. oh and another thing, if you want i could give my contact details and then me and you could have a little chat, but knowing your type you would only bottle it anyway. Mr Puller, it would appear that you dislike people who go to college to study plumbing. If apprenticeships are so good then why do we have a shortage in plumbers. In my opinion apprenticeships while good can take too long to produce the goods. It seems to me that in a controlled learning environment there can be no reason as to why quality plumbers cannot emerge with a good set of skills and do as good a job as any "time served plumber" take a look here skills shortage oh and for the record I am not a plumber nor do i want to be one. Just for you Mr Puller, if you dont know how to click on the above link then I will make it easy for you. A shortage of skilled tradesmen could hinder progress on the Olympic building work, parliament has been warned. LibDem MP Don Foster said there was a "huge skills shortage" in electricians, plumbers and the building trades. "Britain is facing a huge skills shortage that could undermine the success of the Olympics," he told MPs. The government said the Games would be ready on time and addressing the skills shortage would be one of the 2012 Olympic legacies in east London. 'Unscrupulous contractors' "We know that we need thousands more plumbers, electricians, bricklayers and many others," said Mr Foster, LibDem culture spokesman. "What progress is being made to get the necessary training in place to make sure we have sufficient people with the skills so we're not held to ransom by unscrupulous contractors?" Olympics Minister Tessa Jowell said initiatives were under way to provide local people with low skills levels with new work opportunities. She said the aim was to ensure a higher level of skills and enough people to make sure the Olympic site was constructed to budget on time.
i would say 2 years of a 3 year 'apprenticeship' is spent sweeping up, making tea, putting the tools away, fetching and carrying etc etc etc. if you have the common sense then a year actually working on the tools would give a good grounding in the subject. pipe bending, soldering and running pipes etc can be learned in a week
'Low level skills of politicians' springs to mind. Can't wait to see said OM Tessa Jowell with her arm down a kazi trying to shift a klingon on the eve of the Games.Mind you, they'll stoop lower than a rattlesnake if their political neck is on the block (the thought of losing all those perks and slogging it out like the rest of us). Poor soul.
looking at your profile mr puller, you are clearly a sad, single, ** * with no friends or life beyond spending all of your time posting ** and abuse on this forum. You must have a strong back to be carrying a chip that size on your shoulder. [Edited by: admin5] [Edited by: admin23]
