Dry mix or wet mix

  1. Dry

  2. Wet

I have a small patio job coming up which we will be using porcelain tiles on (20mm thick).
I usually use a dry/semi-dry mix and screed out a large area then place the slabs into position and lightly tap into place (I just personally find it easier than wet mix) would this method be okay for use with porcelain if I also added a slurry mix to the underside of the slab/tile?? Is there any benefit to a wet mix as opposed to dry in this situation ?
