Pressure soil pipe with water to unblock?

My soil pipe on the downstairs toilet seems to be partially blocked. Now I know it can be rodded but I was thinking of another way.

With the toilet removed and exposing the soil pipe I was thinking of making a reducer to fit over the 4 inch pipe down to a garden hose pipe size and then turn the hose pipe tap on to put a bit of pressure down the soil pipe with water.

Does anyone think it would work or could the water come out somewhere else like up through the sink waste etc?

Just get it jetted from the other end. A garden hose will be just a trickle in a 4” pipe after a few feet. And if it’s actually blocked the fittings are not designed for positive pressure and will blow apart. And not to mention connecting fresh water to a drain.

It may not be just water that comes up through the sink waste, it could be “stuff” as well, which will give you a major cleanup job as well.
