    hello all,

    I’ve got 18mm osb subfloor,

I’d just like to know if you prime this before sticking down cement board with adhesive?

    I would also screw it.

The intense heat and drought of the last couple of months have caused so much shrinkage in my subfloor that I'm now hearing movement when I walk on my bathroom floor that has a similar make-up to yours. This floor has never done this before and it has been down for nearly 9 years. I'm just hoping it returns to being no-noise when the rains start again, but I doubt it.

Thanks , yes I was going to screw as well , hopefully I can find the appropriate screw as I’ve seen the specific screw is too long for my 18mm board + 6mm backer board

If it were mine, I'd try to screw into the joists ... after checking that there were no pipes or wires to pierce.
