    Hi all,

I have a concrete slab that I plan to use as a base for a tile footpath leading to my front door. The slab is laid to falls to allow water to drain away from the building but it is a little bumpy so before I lay the tiles I would like to use a screed or mortar style product to smooth over the surface.

Please can you advise on what type of product I should use to smooth over the surface, I have seen lots of various types and can’t quite figure out which is best. I know that there are levelling screeds but my thought is that they are maybe a bit to liquid and better for creating a dead level surface rather than smoothing a surface laid to falls?

any advice will be greatly appreciated !
